Went to Geylang with Chong Hsien and friends last Friday. I got to finally try the famous you tiaos at the You Tiao Da Wang in Geylang (means King of Fried Dough). The place was not that crowded surprisingly, though Hsien found it hard to find a parking lot with his newbie skills naturally haha. I tried the you tiaos (delicious!), warm soya bean drink (which totally sucked), glutinous rice (sucked x 3!) and had a taste of Steven's noodles (heaven!) and Hsien's steamed dumplings (nice) Looks like I should just stick to the you tiaos and noodles next time round…
Soccer as usual took place on Sunday, and we handed over Hsien's birthday present to him as his birthday was on the next day. Happy Birthday Chong Hsien! Hope you liked the Adidas branded super cool t-shirt made of out-of-this-world materials! And the Adidas branded super cool water bottle with easy-to-use mechanism!
I'm still looking for a job now (the euphoria of ORDing has worn off long ago) and have been sending resumes, answering phone calls from job agencies and attending job interviews like crazy! In between though, I've lots of free time but I'm not letting it all go to waste:
Top 10 Things I Can Do While Slacking
1. Read ebooks and watch anime
2. Surf web and play Winning Eleven (a natural task for me)
3. Trawl job websites for job ads (I've been diligent in doing so)
4. Read Death Note manga (something I've been procrastinating due to certain, ah, difficulties)
5. Think of my first Valentine's Day (coming soon!)
6. Go out with friends (but I've no money
)
7. Meet Chewy (of course!)
8. Learn new skills (programming, photography)
9. Get a driving license (soon, soon.)
10. Soccer (of the outdoor variety)
Recently I've reverted to being a geek (or have I always being one? haha). I've been watching lots of anime (Paradise Kiss, Gantz, Kanon, Death Note, Code Geass, Ghost Hunt) and went to the library on Monday! Borrowed 2 books on Macromedia Fireworks and Flash (really must brush up on my web skills) and on photography (to fully utilize my Fujifilm camera which sadly goes to waste as I always forget to bring it out)
