This is now my 2nd week in university, and I'm rediscovering my dislike for Mathematics, seemingly the pillar behind everything including my chosen field, programming, and just about everything else!
I've also discovered, to my immense horror, that the module innocently titled: Our Atmosphere: A Chemical Perspective, contains just a little bit of Math too! And it's really boring like hell. (Phlogiston anyone?) THE HORROR, THE HORROR!
It's now 2 weeks since I ordered my laptop, and hopefully it's coming soon! It's real tough being unable to caress and fondle my own laptop when others are using them everywhere I look in school….
I've more or less settled down and adapted to NUS, having (finally!) familiarized myself with the numerous internal (or infernal?!) bus routes, found all my lecture halls, found out how to print my notes in school (my 6 yr old printer has finally given up the ghost) and sampled the food at the Computing and Arts canteens! (and it's not half as bad as certain foodcourts outside!)
Life as a student has many advantages as I'm rediscovering now; I can use a bus concession pass, get fast food at student prices and even my laptop is discounted tremendously!
I've also chanced upon some old friends; Jiahan, who's now made class rep for his Food Science class (haha enjoy), Michelle who's in my Microbes class, Nicholas who's in my course. Of course there's Mani who is now my bestest friend at school! Hope to meet more old friends along the way, and make new ones too!
School rocks (again) !
