Well, not really on Valentine’s Day exactly, but Chewy and I went for a really enjoyable stroll at the newly renovated Botanic Gardens last weekend. I haven’t been there for ages, and we took lots and lots of pictures with my trusty Fujifilm Finepix Z2 camera!
The Jacob Ballas Garden – heaven for children!
Chewy messing around with the sand!

Girl meets boy!
Fun with the slide!

Welcome to Chewy’s little playhouse

Evolution Garden – I didn’t really fancy the place as it was just full of prehistoric plants which looked plain fake to me
Funny trees
Funny volcano with funny lava
Nice place for a picnic
Chewy’s greatest work! This bird was kind enough to land near us and have its picture taken

My greatest work! I love this picture of a water lily!
The swan lake – beautiful view and a nice place to stroll around!
Whew I can’t believe term break is next week. I barely had time to catch my breath since school started! Lab assignments for my programming module has been most punishing; I had to stay up till 5am just to do one of them! And they just keep coming….
I just had my Singapore Society term test. An essay on multiracialism, I guess it wasn’t too difficult, but I wonder how the papers will be marked as everyone’s answers should be quite similar…1 test down, 3 more to go!
I heard from the news that Ah Meng has passed away. She has been such an icon for Singapore all these years. I even had a photo taken with her a long long time ago. Ahhh, memories….
And look carefully at this poster which I found near my block’s lift. There’s something funny about it….

Gosh this sounds so late….but I hope everybody had a great chinese new year! I spent cny doing the usual – waiting at home for my relatives to come, and going to Chewy’s cousin’s house for their annual blackjack contest! Though this is the Year Of The Rat, aka My Year, I still suffered losses to the tune of a whopping 50 cents! Darn! But needless to say, I had quite a number of red packets from everyone….
My auntie and uncle came to town with their dog. Result: star attraction!

Woof! My name is Miko. Woof! (I love it when the dog just flops down on its paws. Cute!)
My uncle loves the dog.
My grandma loves it too!
Chewy in her hot pink dress.
My pesky little cousin. Brought along his shiny new PSP along with the Transformers game for some entertainment too.
Gong Xi Fa Cai! Hongbao Yi Ge Lai!
I should have known when Owen scored so early, it would be a disaster in disguise. Frowns turned to Groans turned to Disgust turned to Cover My Eyes when the final whistle was blown. I guess the Keegan revolution will have to wait till next season.
Man Utd coming next. A thrashing? ‘I would just love it’ if we beat them!
Welcome to Newcastle.
