Lat Sunday, instead of playing soccer like any other Sunday, I made another familiar trip to the hospital, though it wasn’t for my loose shoulder; I went there as I had a bad case of the HIVES! (or Urticaria or better known as hong-moh in Hokkien)
In case you don’t know what that is (and I hope you never have to find out the hard way), I suddenly grew these utterly disgusting-looking red patches all over my body, and they were real itchy! It took all of my willpower to stop myself from scratching, well, myself, and I even thought it was a normal rash at first. However, everybody at soccer agreed it wasn’t normal, and after a fruitless search for clinics nearby, (somehow they all conspired to close at 12pm, which was 2 hours too late for me) I ended up getting one jab on my buttocks and 2 jabs on my hand at the hospital for my trouble.
Of course, i wasn’t exactly in the mood to marvel over my new condition or take photos of myself, but here is a picture I took off the net to disgust you. Mwhahahha…
What could have caused it? I have several suspects in mind:
1. The food I had at Chewy’s granny’s place, though it was the usual prawns, pork, char siew and fish.
2. The dog (belonging to Chewy’s cousin) whom I had fed with a banana
3. My sleeveless shirt which I wore for soccer
4. The hot weather
5. The dirty toilet at Commonwealth MRT
6. Any combination of the above
The worst thing is, I still don’t know! The darn hospital says I have to go for a blood test at the Skin Centre to find out!
