ramblings of a papersheep

It’s been almost a year since I dumped my beloved Palm TX handheld for a Windows Mobile phone to join the smartphone revolution. For a while I toyed with the idea of getting a Palm Centro, but the lack of wifi (an ubelieveable thing in this day and age) turned me off. Also, though I loved the Palm operating system and its wide range of free applications, I couldn’t shake off the feeling that its time had passed, what with its outdated interface and all.

Now it is the time of the web application, and cool gesture-based mobile operating systems like the iPhone’s. However, in my secret geek’s heart, i still wish to own a Palm smartphone.

Enter the Palm Pre.

Check out the sexy design. The slider (a form factor I had never tried out as I only have candybar and flip phones). The slick new operating system called Palm Web OS. The sensible features such as an actual keyboard and cut-and-paste that Apple  can’t, or won’t, provide. And the ultimate killer accessory: a wireless charger (which I can’t help but notice that looks like a hockey puck) that charges the phone through inductive technoloy.

I definitely got to get this when it comes out.  But the problem is, when?!!!!
